MedLyte is an app that helps doctors manage follow-up consultation remotely through technology. Aakash Doshi, the founder, along with his team, had built a valuable product, and the initial feedback from the customers (i.e. doctors) was encouraging. The team was looking to raise funds to scale the product/tech team and market the product. A leading Venture Capital in India had expressed interest in their product. The team was looking for an advisor’s help in analysing the business model, developing a pitch book, and financial projections.
While the initial product feedback was positive, the founders needed an objective, unbiased analysis of their proposed revenue models. The fundamental dilemma was whether to offer the product as a one-time purchase or as a subscription (SaaS). AlphaValley team developed a framework that tested the viability of both the options. The impartial analysis helped the founders take an informed decision.

The model included essential components such as cash burn, Pro-forma, cost estimation, and a ballpark valuation estimate.
AlphaValley team collaborated with the Medlyte team to learn the key factors that make doctors use their product.
